Pudge Wars hit a ludicrous milestone recently. We hit 600,000 subscribers in the Steam Workshop, over 500,000 unique page views in the workshop, and this very website hit over 1,000,000 page views! In lieu of these events, we would like to say thank you to our player base by improving our game, and adding new content to be enjoyed. This update has been wholly made as a thank you to you, our incredibly supportive player base.
In order to make the game feel more intuitive towards newer players, a new system has been put in place visually explaining the difference between Pudge Wars and regular Dota 2 gameplay. A game info panel has also been created in order to briefly explain the game rules to new players.
The game info panel can be triggered by pressing the information but on the very left of the screen, either during gameplay or during the game load. The informational guideline UI can be toggled on an off by pressing the toggle button to the right of the hero portraits on the top.
An essential difference between the classic Warcraft 3 Pudge Wars and our Dota 2 Pudge Wars has been the economy, with the current Pudge Wars feeling slower. In order to address this, we had a specialist in video game economies (WinD.Shadow) take a look at improving our game. The cost of each item in the game has been modified. You can find the full list of changes below.

The basic Pudge Wars map has been updated with a greater level of detail and visual aesthetic. A brand new winter map has been added to the game mode. There are no real gameplay differences between the two maps, but the map variety creates a more diverse experience.
Before searching for a lobby, you can select which map to play using the dropdown feature.
While the Dota 2: Reborn update brought countless needed improvements, it also brought bugs, as is the case in any major update. We ask for patience, as we continue to work towards removing every bug currently present. The following is a list of bugs fixed since the Dota 2: Reborn update.
•Fixed loading error due to duplicate team assignment.
• Fixed loading error due to stat loading and Ash47’s load helper.
• Fixed script error from datadriven damage dealing modifier.
• Fixed several custom items being swapped with recipes for newer Dota 2 items.
• Fixed health bar offset on Reveal item.
• Fixed script error where runes would be removed twice.
• Fixed script error caused by Shield Barrier rune removal calling on a null variable.
• Temporarily removed Lightning rune due to critical bug.
• Fixed loading error due to a null variable being called when a player connected.
• Fixed error where Pudge would still be stunned after pre-game voting.
•Fixed script error caused by calling on statcollection when game ended
• Fixed script error caused by script attempting to cleanup disconnected player's Pudge before they even had a Pudge.

We are aware that there are still several bugs out there, including a host crash bug and a bug where Pudges spawn without abilities. These bugs will be fixed as soon as possible.
If you want to report a bug the best way is to make a post in our subreddit with pictures and descriptions of the problem, and we will try to fix it as soon as possible. If you want to contact us personally you can do so through Steam, here and here, but make sure to leave a comment on our wall first.
